Portland-born poet Gerald Costanzo (1945- ) published his first book with Copper Canyon Press, which was the first book of the press as well. Copper Canyon was founded and directed early on by Sam Hamill & Tree Swenson in Denver before moving to its current location in Port Townsend, Washington. With Costanzo’s first book, Badlands, came this rare piece of ephemera, both located in the John Wilson Special Collections…
